What sets Pact apart from other products in the market is its clean design language devoid of ornamentation. The device's ergonomics enable the user to comfortably reach every area of their body. The use of soft-touch medical-grade silicone provides grip and comfort during use, while the metal components are finished in machined aluminum and polished stainless-steel. This attention to detail and user comfort is a testament to the thoughtfulness of the design team, which includes Timothy Golnik, Chad Bean, Bridget Hunter-Jones, and Craig Cheney.
But Pact is more than just a beautifully designed product. It's a muscle recovery system that consists of two devices: a muscle scanner and a percussive massager. The Pact system first measures the user's muscle condition before recommending an appropriate recovery treatment. Using six sensors, Pact Sense tracks the user’s muscle readiness. The data gathered allows the Pact mobile app to generate personalized warm-up and recovery routines, which informs Pact Pulse to deliver a precise and optimized massage.
The development of the Pact system began in Boston in 2017, with technology development starting in January 2018. The industrial design was completed in June 2021, and the product was launched on Indiegogo in November 2021. This timeline reflects the meticulous care and attention that went into creating a product that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.
It's no surprise that the Pact system has been recognized for its design excellence. In 2022, it was awarded the Silver A' Beauty, Personal Care and Cosmetic Products Design Award. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
With its unique properties and innovative approach to muscle recovery, the Pact system is a testament to the power of design in improving our daily lives. It's a shining example of how technology and design can come together to create a product that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly.
